Behind the Design: The Mug That Started with a Command

I want to tell you about the mug.

Not the finished version — the one sitting in the shop with its clean lines and warm glaze. I want to tell you about the morning it started, when it was just a question I couldn't shake and a verse I kept coming back to.

I was sitting at my kitchen table, Bible open, and I'd been sitting with the same words for about twenty minutes:

My tea had gone completely cold. I hadn't noticed.

That happens sometimes in the quiet — you get so absorbed in a thought, a prayer, a moment with God, that the world just... pauses. And in that pause, I started asking myself: Am I actually doing this? Not perfectly — I know none of us do. But intentionally. Wholeheartedly. With my whole mind.

That question sat with me for days.

I started doodling in the margins of my journal the way I always do when something is settling in my heart. The words "Love the Lord your God" in a loose, flowing script. Simple. Direct. The kind of thing you need to see first thing in the morning before the noise of the day rushes in.

I kept coming back to it. I photographed it. I refined it. I thought about what it would feel like to hold that reminder in your hands every single morning — literally wrapped around something warm.

That's when I knew it needed to be a mug.

When you hold this mug, I want you to feel what I felt that morning — that gentle, convicting, beautiful invitation. Not a burden. Not a checklist. Just a reminder of what matters most, before anything else gets your attention.

All your heart. All your soul. All your mind.

That's the whole point of the shop, really. Not to sell you things, but to give you touchpoints. Little reminders scattered through your day that point you back to what's true.
